Our client is the largest gas and electric utility in the DC/MD area. At their location in Washington, DC, we have a need for a Estimator to support the upgrade of their substation and transmission systems. These are contract positions with potential for direct hire. 2 weeks of paid time off and 10 paid vacation days. Compensation is $40-45/hr, based on experience. Sr. Estimator Requirements: Local/commutable to Washington, DC Ability to work in the US without sponsorship Bachelor or advanced degree in a relevant business or engineering related field A minimum of 5+ years of current experience estimating for design and construction projects A minimum of 5 years' experience with estimating software and techniques Must be able to quickly understand and apply conceptual construction and engineering related information to develop project estimates Background in understanding and interpreting technical project documents and drawings, and developing detailed project estimates Understanding the working construct of a Project Work Breakdown Structure Electric utility related construction, engineering or testing experience is highly desirable Developed understanding and proficiency with Microsoft Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills
