Summary Installer/Driver Logistician acts as a crew leader in the loading and unloading of office furniture and other goods. This position performs disassembly/assembly and installation of various products including, but not limited to, modular furniture, art work, office furniture, home or office products. Comprehension of sketches, blueprints and/or diagrams to install such items with minimal to no supervision is an essential competency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Provides a high level of customer service to ensure complete customer satisfaction Disassembles/reassembles and installs various types of free-standing furniture Disassembles/reassembles and installs various types of wall mounted electronics, modular furniture, pictures, wall art and mirrors per customer specifications Unloads and loads furniture into and out of trucks, warehouses, offices and residences Unloads and Other duties may be assigned Ability to read blueprints, sketches, diagrams and floor plans to determine proper placement and installation of various products Owns and maintains tool kit for the assembly/disassembly/reassembly and installation of various furniture, both residential and commercial/office as well as the mounting of electronics, artwork and mirrors Adheres to all OSHA and DOT regulations in accordance with Company Safety Policy Actively participates in moving materials, equipment, furniture, household goods including the packing and crating of valuables and hard-to-move items Responsible for maintain a clean, safe worksite, including assigned truck at all times Attending/Reviewing Project Briefings and DemonstrationsAble to establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship.May travel to areas outside the local metro area to install remote model projects. Act as liaison with customer to maintain delivery schedules and overall maintenance of daily procedures.Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to clientMinimize Company exposure and risk on projectEnsure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriatelySupporting O&I projects when needed Deliverable Provide delivery of raw materials and/or finished materials with minimal assistance from the customer and/or project management team to effectively stage, move and install new product to conform to room diagrams established by the customer. Possess working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques and inspecting installed product for operability according to customer and/or manufacturer's guidelines. Possess and maintain the appropriate basic hand tools necessary to perform required duties. Communication Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors. Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change Daily check in to superiors to advise on progress and what may be needed for the follow up Technical Understanding Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and or oral instructions. Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities. Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Ability to read, write and comprehend English Prior installation experience to include hanging of artwork and modular furniture disassembly/reassembly; Must pass a DOT Physical if presenting a CDL license Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGULATIONS Need to be able to obtain a security clearance if required by contract Must have an active driver's license in good standing; NON-CDL License or active Class "A" - "B" preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
