Job Description Meet our professionals CGI: A place to build an IT career Position Description: CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Network Security Systems Engineer. You will enhance the cyber security posture of seven (7) civilian government agencies through improved implementation and enhancement of network monitoring and control tools and processes. You will actively identify and mitigate a wide range of cyber risks and will also work closely with a variety of agency stakeholders, supporting their mission, priorities, organization and unique challenges. This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic project focused on improving federal cybersecurity at the seven target agencies over the next six (6) years. * CGI Federal has an exciting potential opportunity for an Agency CDM Advocate. * Will be responsible for managing Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) by providing and/or enhancing CDM solutions as defined in a government request for service to one or more DEFEND agency. * Will coordinate with the Agency to advocate and communicate the CDM solution. * Strong communication skills and understanding of CDM solution and technologies as well as of how the Federal government operates. * Serves as a primary customer contact (POC) to understand the resources within an agency. * As a POC for one or more agencies, the Agency CDM Advocate is readily available to respond to agency questions, concerns and comments as well as being proactive in alerting the Agency to updated and additional CDM capabilities. * Facilitates with one or more group or agency and contractor personnel to promote CDM within the DEFEND Agency. * Works alongside the DEFEND Agency personnel. Your future duties and responsibilities: * Hands-on and required to work closely with operations leads, Service Delivery Managers, PMO Analysts, team leads and CDM partners. * Understanding and ability to demonstrate the purpose of CDM DEFEND. * Coordinate with Agency to advocate and communicate the CDM solution, with PM, DPM, Operations Lead and Service Delivery Managers as required. * Facilitates with Agency to promote CDM within the Agency. * Works alongside the Agency personnel to readily respond to Agency questions, concerns and comments as well as being proactive in alerting the Agency to updated and additional CDM capabilities. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: * Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required. * 6-8 years of experience in working with the Federal government as a Federal government employee or contractor. * Knowledge and experience in CDM. * Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. * Attention to detail coupled with effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude. * Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels and demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with government officials and program office stakeholders. * Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction. * Ability to balance and prioritize many diverse tasks at once. * Experience in establishing new processes.
