Job Description Description SAIC is seeking a qualified Infrastructure Engineer to implement, maintain, and manage a diverse set of IT services, including network operations, information security, SMTP, and disaster recovery. As a senior level engineer you will manage all aspects of the IT infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting problems with systems and services, deployment of new hardware and software within the environment, system validation and testing, scheduled maintenance periods, system security auditing, system automation, and overall advanced technical expertise supporting a System Administrator Team. Responsibilities include: * Monitor and maintain information systems for operational integrity * Design, develop, test, and deploy a variety of hardware and software solutions with a production environment * Provide technical direction to IT support staff * Ensure high availability and uptime across the infrastructure * Design and implement system security and backups to maintain data integrity * Write customer scripts to reduce the need for human intervention * Support system security accreditation process Qualifications * Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field * 14+ years' experience in system engineering, infrastructure, and/or IT support * Operational experience with networking and networking principles * Operational experience with Linux-based operating systems and software * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong sense of ownership and independence regarding infrastructure design, development, and deployment in an operational environment * Experience in a scripting language (ie Perl, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, and Bash) Desired Qualifications * Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field * Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2012 * Experience with Hyper-V * Experience with Citrix virtualization * Experience with EMC Storage Solutions * Experience with SQL database * Experience with Microsoft System Center (SCCM, DPM, and SCOM) * Familiarity with Intelligence Community security standards SAIC is a premier technology integrator, solving our nation's most complex modernization and systems engineering challenges across the defense, space, federal civilian, and intelligence markets.
