Job Description Description SAIC is seeking a Ground Software Engineer to join our Chantilly, VA team. Provides project engineering support to Government Program Office Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) in planning, developing, and monitoring program and technical activities in the development and procurement of ground software and command & control systems Basic Qualifications - Develop technical requirements and prepare System Requirements Specification (SysRS)/ Technical Requirements Document (TRD) for ground software and command & control acquisitions - Prepare program requirements related documentation: Use Cases, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), System Interface Document - Provides support to Government COTR in providing oversight of Contractor's program execution. Review and monitor Contractor's: o Proposed architecture and design o Requirements functional analysis and allocation o Software Quality Assurance, IV&V, and Test Program o Software Metrics o Configuration Management - Review and analyze contractor data deliverables to the Government: o Software Development Plan (SDP) o System/Subsystem Specifications o Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports - Knowledge of: software acquisition and engineering policies; software engineering and mission assurance standards. Provide recommendation of specifications and standards to be placed as program compliance/reference documents in contract - Serve as advisor for software technical evaluation of Contractor proposals - Serve as Ground Software / Command & Control Subject Matter Expert - Participate as part of Government Program Office Team reviewing Contractor formal reviews (SSR, SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR) - Witness Contractor conducted software formal inspection & testing - Ability to independently work through all stages of tasking - Strong written, communication, and presentation skills - BS in computer science, engineering or technical field - TS/SCI clearance - Familiarity with Agile development and methodology Desired Skills - Agile software development experience - MS in Computer Science, Engineering or technical field - Knowledge of Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) Tools - Software related certifications (ie, CISSP) - Acquisition experience Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
