Job Description Description SAIC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support a high profile program in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The applicant will apply engineering principles supporting the development of advanced mechanical/robotic systems in a fast-paced R&D environment. Job Description and Responsibilities: * Participate/lead for developing innovative designs of advanced mechanical/robotic systems * Proficient in mechanical system design; CAD; machine kinematics, dynamics modeling, simulation and structural analysis * Provide support to acquisition, source selection, programmatic processes * Provide technical reviews and assessments of contractor and government development activities * Support testing of advanced prototype systems and manufacturing processes * Prepare technical proposals, reports, and present briefings to the customer. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph * Requires a Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of experience working in a similar position. * Requires minimum of 9 years of relevant experience. * Requires 5+ years' experience in mechanical engineering with robotics background * Experience with government acquisition and development/test process * Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field * Excellent interpersonal, briefing, and writing skills.
