What You Will Do: University of Maryland Joseph Medical Center (UM-SJMC), a member hospital of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has an immediate opening for a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner Part-Time/Weekender to join their inpatient team. In addition to general hospital coverage, NPs & PAs will cover the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). 12 bed short-stay unit The purpose for the Unit is to assess, manage, and treat observation patients who have quickly reversible diseases processes. The goal length of stay is Must be able to work Saturday & Sundays rotating shifts ( 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:00am) 1-2 years of inpatient clinical experience required NPs must have Acute Care certification Will consider new grad NPs with prior RN experience Always 1 Hospitalist on at all times Competitive base salary, including malpractice insurance What You Need to Be Successful: Education and Experience Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.1-2 years of inpatient clinical experience required. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required. Must hold Acute Care NP certification Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
