Please click the link: Responsibilities/Tasks Primarily focuses on assuring the provision of effective, high quality patient care, encompassing multiple responsibilities; including, management of clinical nursing practice, and patient care delivery; sharing the management of human, fiscal, and other resources; development of personnel; compliance with regulatory and professional standards; strategic planning; and fostering of interdisciplinary planning and collaborative relationships within a unit or area of responsibility and the system as a whole. The employee in this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the age of the patients served. He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the necessary care as described in the department's policies and procedures. Responsible for assisting manager with skills competencies validation, performance reviews, and teaching, orientation. Included in decisions associated with hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions. Regular meetings with Medical Directors, supervisor, and the Cath Lab Manager. Oversees the submission of data to the outsourced ACC /AHA Registries. Participates in the UMMS Data Coordinator meetings, including, prepare clinical report summaries on all STEMI Primary PCI's performed, and present the reports to the Cardiac Services Steering Committee monthly meetings. What You Need to Be Successful: Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) Registered Nursing license, or Compact State RN license required. Understanding of current nursing practice trends; knowledge in the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological stages of human growth and development. At least a BSN with five plus years' experience in an interventional cath lab, that also provides device implants and EP. Required to take call as needed. Work schedule M-F, 7:00AM - 3:30PM. It would be desirable to have leadership experience of some sort in a critical care area of nursing. ACLS and BLS required.
