Chemonics seeks a Global Registration and Regulatory Compliance Support and Reporting Manager (GRRCSR) for the Finance and Accounting division. The GRRCSR provides expertise and support to Chemonics business units who are responsible for the initiation, compliance and maintenance of foreign and US state registrations. The GRRCSR will act as a control point and focus on the registration lifecycle which includes tracking and reporting of registrations and statutory audits for US tax purposes. The manager will be a knowledge coordinator and tax liaison with outside tax services providers related to all aspects of registration, taxation, transfer pricing, interaction with tax and other authorities, etc. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include: Provide oversight of the maintenance of tax and related compliance files by the respective business units owners Provide training and guidance on the registration process to relevant internal stakeholders through the registration process and continuing compliance Summarize, interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to the region/project management unit (PMU)/local staff related to foreign permanent establishments, transfer pricing, income taxation In coordination with business owners, liaise when necessary with outside providers, for US state and local registrations and support business units with foreign registrations Support PMU/local staff interaction with regulatory agencies as necessary to achieve registration/compliance Interact with outside service providers, as needed, to help analyze and support the timely resolution of issues, and the approval of registration actions Participate and provide guidance related to tax and other authorities on any taxation and tax related compliance in the US and provide support for foreign matters Serve as knowledge coordinator on taxation and business operations compliance in conjunction with the business units Prepare and provide data/information to outside tax providers required to file/maintain tax filings in the US and provide support for foreign matters With the support of outside service providers, provide interpretive analyses of complex regulatory guidance documents, regulations, or directives that impact the company's operations, identify and summarize implications for affected functions With the support of outside service providers respond to requests from regional/(PMU)/local teams to provide critical input into registration needs for operations launch or maintenance within region With the support of outside service providers, continuously evaluate the regulatory climate of the countries the company maintains registrations Identify potential issues which may arise, work to favorably impact the outcome of emerging or existing issues Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
