Overview Technology is constantly changing, and our adversaries are digitally "going dark" at a rate that is exceeding law enforcement's ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. In response to this challenge, we are seeking a talented Senior Cloud Network Engineer to provide technical leadership in the planning, design, and implementation of cloud-based infrastructure systems and integration with both traditional and non-traditional infrastructures. Responsibilities What you'll do Determine user requirements and design specifications for cloud-based (AWS, Azure, Google Public Cloud, etc.) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) systems Create plans to ensure necessary maintenance to support system health is performed by junior staff Plan, schedule, and conduct the deployment of new hosting environments and associated resources Evaluate service offerings from providers and make recommendations to customer regarding integration of these technologies into existing networks and environments Gather and report utilization and performance metrics pertaining to the deployed infrastructure of production system Provide regular status updates to the customer, program leadership, and development teams on the progress of networks throughout the deployment lifecycle Assist with requirement deconstruction, collaborating on designs, and providing feedback to the O&M engineering team on new capabilities integration efforts, and recommend improvements or changes if required Collaborate with the external development teams to integrate new capabilities that are aligned with the overall program strategy Qualifications You'd be a great fit if You've obtained a BS degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security or System or Network Administration and have five (5) years of relevant experience. However, equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree. You've configured and worked with Ansible, Terraform, and/or similar configuration automation tools You have a solid understanding of OSI Model You're experienced with cloud-based networking You've worked with VPN technologies including IPsec, L2TP, OpenVPN, and others You have load balancing and auto-scaling experience You have Linux-based routing and firewall capabilities You're experienced with logging and monitoring of networks You've deployed and managed cloud resources from a variety of cloud providers You have experience with micro services architecture concepts and development You've worked in both Windows and Linux environments It would be even better if you You're CCNP certified You have Amazon AWS CLI and API experience You have experience with other Cloud hosting and VPS providers, especially Microsoft Azure, Softlayer, Google Public Cloud, Rackspace, etc You have COOP Planning, fault tolerance, high availability, and single point of failure (SPOF) analysis experience What you'll get An immediately-vested 401(K) with employer matching Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Tuition assistance, financing, and refinancing Company-paid infertility treatments Cross-training and professional development opportunities Influence major initiatives *This position requires the candidate to have a current Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
