What You Will Do: Job Summary- Registered Nurse IV Therapy, Registered Nurse (RN) Part Time The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary health care providers to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care in an individualized and age appropriate manner which promotes patient safety and healing and according to hospital policy. What You Will Do: The Vascular Access/IV Therapy Department is comprised of RN staff that provide services to patients house-wide. These include obtaining peripheral IV access, often with ultrasound guidance, port access/de-access, midline and PICC placement, trouble shooting central lines as well as complete dressing changes according to best practice standards. We work diligently to assess central lines daily for compliance with the bundle and achieve/maintain zero CLABSI's. We provide consults for the most appropriate venous access to prevent the insertion of unnecessary Central Lines and promote patient safety. Experience and Skills 1-3 year in a health care environment. What You Need to Be Successful: \"What You Need to Be Successful\" The RN position in Vascular Access must be able to insert peripheral IV's. Ultrasound experience preferred for peripheral IV and midline placements.
