Summary
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides the development, operation, maintenance, and support of Information Systems for the Court. OIT staff operates and administers distributed network architectures that support a fully virtualized environment of end user workstations and servers, geographically diverse data centers, website administration using a virtual machine infrastructure linked with Content Delivery Network (CDN) solution, and administer several complex Local Area Networks.

Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for design, implementation, day-to-day operations and optimization of the Court's Network Infrastructure (NI), both at the Court and various geographically diverse remote sites. The Network Infrastructure (NI) includes copper and fiber cable plant, routers, switches, access points, wireless controllers, firewalls, hardware load balancers, circuits, Network Management Systems (NMS), and Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
The incumbent will perform technical analysis and administration of the Network Infrastructure (NI) to include the following: security patching, periodic maintenance, "break-fix" actions, troubleshooting, configuring, testing, installing cabling as needed, fault isolation, preventative maintenance, install hardware/software/firmware upgrades, problem solving, equipment inventory, and all other aspects of technical support. The incumbent is expected to quickly react to and resolve problems that may impact the critical functions of the Court.

Qualifications
Minimum of five years Network Infrastructure (NI) experience in the following categories:
Performing analysis and fault isolation functions, with hands-on working-level knowledge of Firewalls, VPN Appliances, Hardware Load Balancers, Wireless Networks, Routers and Switch equipment and Security Appliances.
Expert level working knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, Vlans, Routing Protocols (OSPF/BGP), Network Automation, Network Security, Network Management Systems, and IP Traffic Capturing Hardware/Software required.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate recent experience performing hardware set-up and installation as well as documenting installation and configuration changes.
Prepare detailed project plans, evaluate and implement technology enhancements, and diagnose technical faults in a complex Network Infrastructure (NI).
Experience with software defined networks, Telecomm and VoIP technology highly desirable.
Highly Desirable Certifications: PCNSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), F5 CTS-301 (F5-Certified Technical Specialist focus in BIG-IP LTM), WNCA (Wireshark Certified Network Analyst), SCP (Solarwinds Certified Professional).
Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to communicate and understand technical information, comprehend technical instructions, evaluate problems, and assist users; ability to remain calm and professional in high stress environment when confronted with demanding users, short timeframes, or other pressing and urgent demands.
Education
Applicable certifications are required.
