Marketing Area Development Coordinator

Description:To deliver proactive, coordinated and accountable marketing direction and support for the local and/or regional attorneys' marketing efforts. As a member of the firm's marketing department, work collaboratively with partners, marketing colleagues and business leaders to develop and implement marketing and business development activities for the assigned areas. Key Responsibilities Include:Identify, plan and manage local marketing events. Coordinate and execute all aspects of speaking and presentation activities to include breakfast briefings, seminars, and receptions, as well as external sponsorships/events.Work with local office Executive Partner(s) and assigned Senior Business Development Manager to prepare annual local/regional marketing plans, as appropriate and in alignment with the firm's and office's overall business strategy. Assist with marketing budgets, and monitor and control marketing and business development expenditures throughout the year.Assist with the Women's Initiative, Diversity and other infinity group's local initiatives and events.Work with the PR team to identify opportunities to increase firm/attorney media positioning and exposure through strategic and tactical media other communications channels.Monitor civic organizations to ensure the firm and its attorneys are appropriately positioned in leadership roles and as thought leaders.Assist with the preparation of submissions for credentialing listings and local/regional surveys.Coordinate, draft and place ads supporting local/regional office efforts and sponsorships as appropriate.Track local marketing activity, client success, etc. and prepare reports for periodic transmission to the local/regional offices - including weekly news reports.Assist attorneys with client and prospective client opportunities and prepare targeted sales/marketing materials including proposals, presentations, and collateral, while working with the appropriate Practice Development Manager and/or Marketing support teams.In collaboration with the attorneys, Marketing department leaders and Practice Development Managers, participate in research and analysis related to strategic business development, including routine and discrete market analyses of geographic markets. Coordinate research on practice areas or industry segments aligned with firm's development goals, targeted sales opportunities, cross-selling opportunities and current trends.In collaboration with the Practice Development Managers, assist with marketing orientation and integration for lateral hires, attorney awards and announcements, etc. Work collaboratively to ensure that accurate and timely attorney information is incorporated into marketing collateral, proposals, presentations, and the firm's public web site and intranet.Keep Marketing colleagues abreast of plans and initiatives in order to maximize cross-selling opportunities and to avoid duplication of efforts. Qualifications:4-6 years' experience in a related area, preferably in legal or professional services marketing environment.Strategic, high energy; results and detail oriented.Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong computer and database skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.Diplomacy, cooperation, follow through.Take an ownership approach to the assigned practice areas. Minimum Education:Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
