The Regional Human Resources Director (HRD) is an important part of the field leadership team. The Regional HRD role is that of a true generalist responsible for providing HR support to the Region Vice Presidents of Operations, Regional Operations Directors, Center Directors, and Center Team Members. The Regional HRD is expected to act as a strategic business partner to the operations team. As a generalist, it is expected that the Regional HRD provide support and counsel in the areas of employee relations, recruiting, training, on-boarding, performance management, succession planning, and management selection and development. The Regional HRD position is supported by the home office HR departments of benefits, payroll, recruiting, training, and administration. The Regional HRD is also expected to assist in the development of HR practices and policies for the company. He or she is also responsible for ensuring the successful execution of HR programs in the field and all center locations in their geographic area of responsibility. RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serve as the business partner, sounding board and counselor to the Regional VPs of Operations, Region Operations Directors, and Center Directors on all matters related to team members. * Ensure appropriate staffing by making sure we have all the "Right People in the Right Place and the Right Time" in all field leadership roles and in center locations. * Facilitate recruiting efforts between support center recruiting team and field operations team. * Partner appropriately with the recruiting and training teams to make sure the needs of the field operations teams are properly met. Ensure that all new team members are successfully on boarded and have a training and orientation plan in place. * Serve as lead contact for Solis HR on all hospital acquisitions and joint ventures. Attend and be the "Face" of Solis HR during employee meetings leading up to acquisitions and joint ventures. * Be available to answer questions for field team members or facilitate putting them in touch with the right support center contact. (Being responsive to e-mails and phone calls is very important in this role). * Work closely with operations leadership to identify future leaders and provide development plans to prepare high potential team members for promotion and additional responsibilities. * Participate in identifying needs for new or updated HR policies and practices. Participate in the development and communication of HR policies and practices. * Conduct any team member investigations as necessary. Investigate, resolve and report on any calls made to the confidential hotline. * Conduct training sessions and communication meetings such as employee orientation, benefits administration, etc. as needed. * Travel to meetings and areas for which the position has geographic responsibility both regionally and nationally. Travel approximately 25%. * Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Human Resources. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong listening and interviewing skills * Ability to influence those who do not report to him or her * Ability to relate and communicate with all levels of the organization * Interpersonal skill and good instincts regarding people * High sense of urgency and responsiveness to internal customers * Health care experience preferred * Multi-Unit experience required * Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
