PARALEGAL The Select Group has several paralegal openings supporting the FBI Office of General Counsel in Washington, DC! We are looking for candidates of junior, mid, and senior experience levels. Qualified candidates will have an active Top Secret clearance, and 2+ years of legal clerical support or litigation paralegal experience. A paralegal certificate is preferred, but not required. We are looking to set up interviews as quickly as possible! PARALEGAL REQUIREMENTS:Active Top Secret clearance in JPAS2+ years of legal clerical support or litigation paralegal experienceEducational Requirements: Either a paralegal certificate, or successful completion of one year at an ABA-accredited school.Experience with eDiscovery tools is preferred, but not requiredPARALEGAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide professional, timely and reliable paralegal support reporting to the OGC-LITB and detailed to assist the five litigation units. In particular, supporting the missions of the Employment Law Units (ELU) and Civil Litigation Units (CLU).Perform typical Paralegal functions, including: moderately complex legal research, synopsizing transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use; receiving case related materials; and identifying potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation.Receive, prioritize, and process requests such as document review or requests for advice or legal technical assistance.Research and locate responsive information and identify relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal articles.Write preliminary drafts of legal memoranda and correspondence.Assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.; conducting legal analysis, reviewing documents for relevance and privilege, and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.Consistently demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stakeholders. #CJ-Top Secret About The Select Group:We are TSG - a fast-growing technical services firm serving the US and Canada.
