This position plays an integral role within our Marketing Team and the firm. It is based in the Calverton, MD office park, near Silver Spring & College Park, Maryland. Job Summary: The Proposal Coordinator/Marketing Assistant works as an integrated part of the Business Development and Marketing team, under the guidance and direction of the VP of Marketing. Responsibilities include: Coordinate and participate in proposal development and shepherd technical staff through the process Write, edit, compile, and organize information from many sources to generate cohesive proposals (eg cover letters, executive summaries, resumes, project descriptions). Work with technical staff to ensure that win themes, differentiators, and market strategies are integrated throughout the document Prepare, format and produce each proposal and assist with Interview preparation Assist in company initiatives to include maintaining the company web-site and the preparation & distribution of external communications (press releases, announcements, direct mail, etc.), photography, award submissions, conference preparation and brochures. Additional special projects and assignments, as directed by the VP of Marketing. Required qualifications: 2+ years of marketing/proposal development or administrative experience, A/E/C experience an advantage Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite Motivated self -starter who can drive proposal process from pre-RFP planning through delivery. Analytical, with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team High sense of urgency and willingness to take the initiative Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently , including ability to handle multiple, simultaneous deadlines Willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done Multimedia, videography, graphic design experience a PLUS!
