ALL CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCESummary: Responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks. Other duties include daily general asset management responsibilities in support of the GDIT Installation Teams tasks. Responsibilities include:Maintain an inventory database of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) at customer warehouses.Organize and inventory consumable materials.Receive equipment shipments from vendors as well as other government warehouses. Palletize, wrap, and ship components and materials to installation locations and verify receipt with on-site personnel. Verify builds are complete by obtaining and referring to Materials Equipment Lists (MELs) as provided by customer. Maintain an organized and clean storage facility. Build A/V systems including but not limited to: terminating cables, installing A/V components, the building of racks and credenzas, and connecting system equipment with the appropriate cabling utilizing good cable management skills and testing/certifying the equipment once assembled.Remove old system cabling and install new cabling using good cable management practices and skills to include, but not limited to: working from a ladder to pull cable across the ceiling, pulling cable through cable trays in the floor, and understanding how to use various systems including, but not limited to, Connectrac, cable raceways, Panduit, cable ties, and cable tray systems. Arrange for the return of unused and/or RMAd equipment from customer installation locations.Ensure a professional client/customer demeanor and that the job site is left clean and free of debris each day of the installs including but not limited to: trash removal, dusting, covering furniture prior to beginning work, and vacuuming after work is completed for the day. BA/BS Qualifications:Installation support skills that require at least 3 years of basic familiarity with audio visual systems to include but not limited to Crestron, Cisco and Polycom.The ability to read and interpret signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, notional room drawings, surface reflected drawings, and key/pinout legends. Familiarity with all A/V equipment and tools used to build and install this equipment to include but not limited to testing low voltage cables and various system parts to determine defective cabling and parts.Experience mounting monitors on walls and mobile carts, spacing and installing ceiling microphones and speakers, table microphones, wall mounted sound bars, ceiling mounted projectors and retractable screens is desired. 3-10 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.Must be open to frequent travelMust be able to lift 50 lbs For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
