Everything we do - the tools and features in our software, our services, partnerships, best practices - drives our ultimate goal of making your organization successful.Job DescriptionHigher Logic is looking for a Director of Sales Engineering who will be responsible for the direction and implementation of all technical pre-sales activities and outcomes. Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, the Director of Sales Engineering will lead and manage a team of eight Sales Engineers who support the Sales team during prospective customer sales meetings and throughout the sales process. This exiting role represents an important position in Higher Logic's Sales leadership structure and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to broader sales management and the overall strategic direction of the Sales function.ResponsibilitiesDeliver Sales Engineering expertise supporting activities needed to achieve quarterly sales targets.Proactively engage with Sales Leadership to create close alignment and develop technical tools/programs to support sales campaigns and initiatives.Motivate and lead the Sales Engineering team strategically and tactically to meet leadership objectives.Work closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to develop strategic and technical territory and account plans.Manage performance and key talent closely, taking the necessary actions to retain top talent and manage performance at all levels.Work cross functionally with strategic services, support, product management, engineering, and other organizations to ensure alignment with sales, provide process and product feedback, and resolve critical customer situations.Hold regular team meetings to provide team leadership/direction as well as allow input on issues affecting the team's effectiveness. Qualifications15 years of Sales Engineering experience in SaaS or Tech business environments.5+ years of management experience leading a team of Sales Engineers (team size 10-15+).Proven ability to drive results to support the Sales Team in achieving quarterly and annual sales targets.Ability to motivate and lead team members toward their peak performance.Ability to distill and communicate complex ideas to both internal stakeholders and prospective customers.Demonstrates exemplary, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong project management experience and financial awareness skills.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
