Position: Web Systems EngineerLocation: Washington, DC (metro accessible) Duration: 6 month contractPlatform of experience should be QA Testing tools:Prior experience of upgrading and using application testing tools like Micro Focus ALM, Performance CenterPrior experience of upgrading and using security testing tools like IBM AppScan Source and AppScan EnterpriseExperience with Windows Servers, SQL Server database, Oracle DatabaseAbility to coordinate with other IT teams like DBAs, Server Administration team, Network Admins and external software service providersCapable of tracking and reporting work progressDemonstrated skills in the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of a large-scale (500-1000 servers) Enterprise Web Infrastructure, supporting solutions and platforms for QA testing toolsIn-depth understanding of industry best practices for Web Infrastructure in terms of performance, availability, disaster recovery, scalability and security Experience supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting the most recent versions of Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS). Extensive experience in Web Vulnerability Management program, ranging from identification, containment, restoration, patching and monitoring Experience in hardening systems for use in an Extranet environment In-depth understanding and demonstrated experience in the implementation, management, and operating of Web IAM with various user bases and authentication schemes, including multi-factor authentication Demonstrated ability to work with developers on the design and deployment of Web applications and systems, including platform architecture, capacity planning, HA and DR. In depth knowledge of networking (IP protocols, routing, etc.), web and database systems, file and application servers (in a variety of software and operating system environments), remote access and security systems, and enterprise search and directory services (eg, Active Directory)Functions:Provides design, installation, configuration and consulting services for the local, wide-area , Internet and remote access networks, including components such as switches, routers , links, cabling, operating systems, servers, storage arrays, directory systems, management and backup systems Consults with management and customers regarding product feasibility and viability of network infrastructure plans and designs, and includes emerging technology and product supportability into design and implementationKnowledge:Comprehensive knowledge in multiple areas of networking, such as network infrastructure, data communications and protocols, file servers and application servers in different software environments, database technology, remote access, security, web technologies, directory services and messaging Extensive technical knowledge and experience of installing, configuring and maintaining network infrastructure components; Skilled in the application of advanced network management and diagnostic tools for predictive analysis and problem resolution; Proven expertise in the operation, administration, maintenance and engineering of enterprise networks and/or server environments Strong understanding of security architecture and technologies.
