Sr. Manager- Technical Accounting
TalentSource360 is currently supporting a growing firm in Washington DC with a critical need in their accounting leadership team. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a background leading technical accounting and revenue recognition efforts in a fast-paced environment. This position will be charged with overseeing all technical accounting efforts related to revenue recognition and reporting activities. He/she will manage a small and growing team of and have indirect leadership over policy implementation related to new standard and GAAP policies. The Manager will be responsible for the following:Work with departments throughout the organization to better understand revenue streams, contract structure, internal audit processes, and moreProvide guidance on new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with both ASC 606 standards, GAAP, and internal controls.Assist in the audit and compliance testing and documentation related to revenue structuringConsistently research revenue recognition requirements to ensure proper internal controls and reporting processes are in place Qualified individuals will have the following expertise:Corporate and Public Accounting environment servicing commercial clients preferredDegree in Accounting or FinanceCPA requiredExperience with revenue recognition and analyzing varying revenue streamsStrong knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirementsExposure to ASC 605 and 606 Revenue Recognition StandardsExperience working with a variety of Financial systems In addition to a world-class team and competitive salary, this opportunity may include a sign-on bonus, along with industry leading benefits, career development and advancement opportunities.
