ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The NGA Analysis Directorate seeks experienced, motivated, proactive full motion video (FMV) analysts. Analysts work closely with mission partners to ensure effective GEOINT exploitation of FMV data for 24/7 operations. The nature of the mission requires analysts with strong writing, typing, critical thinking, interpersonal communications, and multitasking skills. Analysts will be on a rotational shift work schedule covering 24 hours by 7-day mission requirements. The NGA Analysis Directorate provides geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) products and services to mission partners to ensure effective round-the-clock GEOINT expertise and customized, professional products based on the exploitation of full-motion video data. The mission provides great opportunities for analysts to work with cutting-edge persistent surveillance technologies, broaden their network with other IC analysts, and advance their GEOINT analysis tradecraft skills. This is a two year Term Appointment, and may be extended after the initial period up to a total of five years. A Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) term employee may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a permanent appointment at the same pay band, and similar or same work role, for which they were initially hired. The term employee must have a "successful or better" overall rating on the most recent performance evaluation to be eligible for conversion.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

Employees with SCI access and who are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Failure to comply may negatively impact continued access to Top Secret information, Information Systems, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not eligible to apply for internal assignment opportunity notices.

This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. Qualifications

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1. Demonstrated experience with research and analysis, preferably full-motion video (FMV) and/or imagery analysis. 2. Experience using critical thinking skills and/or data analytics to address international problems of national concern. 3. Demonstrated usage of technical skills, such as scripting and coding, programming, data mining and analytics, data visualization, statistical analysis, algorithm development, data science, FMV analysis, imagery analysis, or computational thinking. 4. Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings to meet the needs of various audiences. 5. Working knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS). 6. Experience working collaboratively with others. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Foreign Area Studies, Geography, History, Imagery Science, International Affairs, Military Science, Physical Science, Political Science, Remote Sensing, or a related discipline. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of college coursework in any area listed in option A plus experience working as an Imagery Analyst, OR in a closely-related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the tasks associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of college work is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: Six years of significant applied experience in Imagery Analysis or all-source intelligence experience, or six years in combat arms or in combat support for military personnel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Far visual acuity of 20/60 or better binocular with or without corrective lenses.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:

1. Experience satisfying requirements on schedule within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 2. Understanding of and experience applying NGA or NSG policies and procedures to a broad range of situations. 3. Work assignments with different partner organizations and/or different work locations.
