ASSESSMENT FACTORS

1. Prepares and delivers briefings to large diverse internal and external audiences on complex and/or controversial topics in a manner that is appropriate for the audience and consistent with policy and/or best business practices.
2. Demonstrated experience in academic research, writing, and reviewing, with demonstrated contributions to the cyber intelligence and data analytics field.
3. Demonstrated experience and teaching with applying methodologies to data analytic activities, data science concepts and tools, or with cyber intelligence or operational activities.
4. Constructively questions conventional approaches, and supports an environment that encourages new ideas
5. Analyzes key information and evaluates the effectiveness of alternative solutions, courses of action, and strategies needed to address complex, controversial, and multi-faceted issues

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS

1. Doctor of Philosophy from an accredited university in Physical Sciences or engineering, computer sciences, mathematics and statistics, informational Sciences, or a related area.
2. Experience with Intelligence Community operations, analysis or applications and the research, development testing and evaluating procedures.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

All Applicants must meet the following minimum qualification requirements in order to be considered for this position:

A. Successful completion of a full four-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.

OR

B. Combination of education and experience----courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course study described in A above.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have experience that demonstrates possession of the broad range and depth of knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the occupation or specialty at or equivalent to the next lower grade.

DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency's conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement. All employees are required to sign an agreement not to disclose, in any fashion, classified information to unauthorized persons. All civilian employees are required to participate in the DoD Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer of Pay (DD/EFT) Program.
