The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical guidance when planning, organizing, and coordinating AF/A2 policies and processes to ensure the proper management and execution of AF Executive Agent Special Access Programs (SAPs), Special Activities support, and their associated integration with traditional Service ISR capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • To serve as Technical Advisor providing technical management of functions within AF/A26UZ under guidance of its Director, ensuring that the organization complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
  • Communicates with DoD, Service, IC and Interagency senior decision-makers on ISR SAP force structure and capability issues.
  • Represents AF/A26UZ with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  • Serves as the Director?s Subject Matter Expert for the day-to-day execution of SAP integration initiatives.

  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge and practice of DoD Special Access Programs (SAPs), AF SAP oversight and security and restricted SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information), Special Activities Management support functions and the Governance Process. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Comprehensive knowledge and practice of DoD Special Access Programs (SAPs), AF SAP oversight and security and restricted SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information), Special Activities Management support functions and the Governance Process.
2. Extensive knowledge of the AF ISR capability portfolio, the intelligence community, and SAP capability integration.
3. Thorough knowledge of security practices to ensure the safeguarding of classified information.
4. Expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of SAP programs.
5. Ability to develop and implement policies or procedures for the execution, management, and oversight of SAPs.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, clearly, concisely and with technical accuracy and to work effectively with groups and individuals.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The "certification" must be signed by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer, or commander of your unit or higher headquarters and must indicate when your terminal leave will begin (if applicable), your rank, dates of active duty service, the type of discharge and character of service (i.e. honorable).
