As a Web Content Specialist, you will create content and maintain the public facing website for the Airports Authority.
Web Content Specialist
Serves in the Marketing and Consumer Strategy Department in the Office of Marketing and Consumer Strategy at the Headquarters Office.
Develops content for and maintains the public facing website for the Airports Authority. Creates, edits, and updates the website, and works with content owners to ensure high-quality information is presented. Provides technical perspectives to web project planning and implementation, as well as drive web strategy. Performs related functions.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Meets with Airports Authority staff to determine website needs such as audience, project objectives and timelines.
Reviews project requests for new pages, categories, additions, or changes to ensure best practices and adherence to the web governance process.
Creates conceptual website content designs. Develops productions schedules for creating, editing, and reviewing to ensure that all deadlines are met.
Works with project teams, technical staff, agencies, and others to translate user requirements into system, equipment and/or program specifications.
Innovates and improves upon existing web content and website functionality to meet the needs of website users.
Works with Office of Technology staff to troubleshoot errors, format CSS and media rich pages.
Maintains digital calendar and updates web content across various platforms (applications, web pages, hyperlinks, images, etc.). Ensures content meets the Airports Authority branding guidelines.
Provides technical support for website content updates, and to internal website users, and the general public.
Leads annual website audit; ensures content is SEO optimized, accurate, and meets industry best practices.
Provides technical training to current and newly on-boarded Airports Authority staff on web content management system (CMS).
Provides business process analysis, functional requirements documentation, and technical requirements documentation.
Provides monthly and ad hoc reports requested by management and other Airports Authority staff.
Remains current in web design techniques and programs.
Performs other functions, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of demonstrated progressively responsible experience in website content management in business, industry, or educational settings.
Ability to manage the home page and backend (CMS) of a large (100+ user) website.
Ability to design, create, edit, and produce website content using web content management systems (such as Drupal, WordPress, etc.).
Ability to create and edit intermediate level HTML content.
Skill in writing and editing short- and long-form articles from various sources.
Knowledge of and ability to integrate social media into web pages, including meta optimization for social sharing (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
Ability to perform detailed analyses using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other data to make recommendations.
Knowledge of, and ability, to create website design concepts based on varying audiences.
Ability to manage and produce website content across teams, utilizing graphic designers, videographers and agencies.
Ability to speak and write effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with vendors for web development, API integration, e-commerce, automation and other functionality.
Experience in UX/UI testing, design/redesign, optimization and implementation based on data and analytics.
Certification in Google Analytics.
Certification or formal training in UX/UI.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Digital Media, UX/UI, or related field.
