The Finance and Multifamily audit team is seeking an Internal Audit Staff auditor to join our growing finance team. Our finance audits cover a variety of areas including: Financial Reporting, Accounting Policy, Corporate Forecasting, Conservator Capital and ROE Framework, Dodd-Frank Act Stress Test, Hedge Accounting, Debt/Investment Accounting, Loan Accounting, Allowance for Loan Loss, and SF & MF Valuation.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Audit Execution
  • Assisting with planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of assigned audits
  • Participating in meetings with process owners to understanding key risks and controls
  • Preparing documentation which clearly describes the audit procedures performed, results of testing and conclusions reached for various processes
  • Preparing and presenting audit findings and recommendations to management and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrating an understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, and controls

Audit Issue Follow-up
  • Assisting with the evaluation of the effectiveness of management's issue remediation
  • Monitoring open issues and management's remediation

Annual Planning
  • Assist in managing resource allocation and schedulingAssist with the annual planning process


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Typically has 1 to 3 years of experience, including previous experience in public accounting, risk management or internal audit; other relevant experience may be considered.
  • Basic understanding of the financial services industry and the secondary mortgage markets.
  • Strong data analytics skill using the latest tools.
  • Understanding of audit methodology and risk/controls assessments.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks/projects.
  • Willingness to build professional relationship and rapport with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience.
