NGMS, Embedded and Intel Software Organization inSykesville, MD is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to be responsible for writing control loops, device drivers, middleware, and application development. The work will involve analysis, design, development, integration, debugging, and verification of software and drivers in C/C++. This person will interface with systems and hardware engineering to develop flow down software requirements and technical specifications. This position is located in Sykesville, MD. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline. 3+ months of professional software engineering experience. Proficiency in C/C++ Knowledge of real time processing including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, and memory management. Candidates must be US Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance at the Secret Level. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance is preferred. Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking, and build release practices is preferred.
