Senior Director of Financial Operations Location: Bethesda-area, MD Start Date: Immediate Highstreet IT Solutions is currently looking to hire a Senior Director of Financial Operations with experience consolidating and budget development for multiple operating divisions with some international operations. Ideally, the candidate would have accounting experience in both project-based and recurring revenue environments, as well as cost pooling and allocation methodologies. A highly skilled professional who has previous experience in a similar role is strongly desired. A minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate or subsidiary/division controller and/or finance director/VP position is a must. Ideal experience includes exposure professional consulting contracts and managed IT service contracts (T&M, FFP, etc.). Responsibilities: Oversight of the accounting, budgeting and forecasting processes Manage and evolve accounting and finance staff and systems Ensure all financial and compliance reporting deadlines are met Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information Responsible for cash management process and cash forecasting Responsible for managing the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and covenant forecasting Responsible for managing the budget/forecast to actual monthly reporting Responsible for oversight and review of all accounting and payroll reconciliations Manage the A/R, A/P, P/R, general ledger and collection function Communication of timekeeping and expense reporting requirements to employees Understand and apply knowledge of general accounting theories, GAAP, and industry accounting methodologies to company financial reporting Coordinate audits with external auditors, including oversight of auditor requests, and ensuring a clean & timely year-end financial audit Establish, refine and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls Interface with other service centers and divisions to verify transactional data and resolve issues Support proposal activity including responses to RFP's Management of division finance support, cash management, financial results, and other special reporting requests Guide the development and evolution of accounting system Develop and refine procedures and features to enhance reporting capabilities of accounting and finance systems, as well as the associated workflows Recurring training and development of new/existing staff and user base Work with direct report to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development Work as a team member with the entire organization and interact with the CEO, COO, CFO, and other senior staff members Minimum Qualifications/skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with mid-level and senior level managers and teammates during periods of high operating tempo and tight deadlines Strong consulting/advisory and customer relationship management skills Strong orientation and focus on quality; detail oriented and precise Strong project management skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to think strategically, and actively participate in discussions with client, management and staff General understanding of IT trends and IT related accounting standards Minimum Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting required. CPA/CMA strongly preferred Master s degree in Finance/Accounting or MBA is a plus Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
