We are an, Outcome - oriented, results focused with a strong performance cultureWe are seeking a person with Government sector exposure for Contract Business Development / Sales Representative to become a part of our team! Skills:Understanding of Government account structures, contracts, budget processes, RFP's and standard bid requestsExperience in Government Contracting with a demonstrated track record of success with predominant focus to Local Government, State Government and possess adequate knowledge in DoD, FAA Government Contracting would be an advantage. Must have minimum 6+ years' experience primarily in the domain of Software and Services salesStrong existing relationships in the Government, as well as a strong/ proven track record of new business developmentMust be able to bring immediate opportunitiesExperience in establishing and maintaining relationships with prime contractorsShould have performed pre-sales support activities. Experience with developing, refining and delivering an effective sales script that succinctly captures the customer pain point, articulates the value-propositionSelf-starter with experience in start-ups with the ability to operate with minimal directions and produces resultsAssignment may require travel outside of the work locations and customer facilities BDM will be the client's key contact for all business transactionsMinimum RequirementsShould be comfortable demonstrating software and speaking to technical and non-technical executives alikeHave a track record of exceeding company sales quotasAbility to work in a fast paced, team environmentAbility to understand customer needs and meet that need with a successful product saleAbility to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyPreferred Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited University is strongly preferredDuties will include:Business partnership development and managementBe a Hunter and a Farmer: going after new logo businesswork with the inhouse account management team on post-sales relationship management Secure new business leads by cold callingStrategically build and execute a territory planAttend conferences and trade showsAttain or exceed sales quota by identifying customers' business challenges and aligning Meridian products/services to create world-class solutions that deliver significant valueConduct virtual and live presentations Create and prioritize strategic target account lists within a defined territoryMaintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in our productsResearch and build new and existing accounts (ie adding contacts, sending emails, strategic calling)Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and closed businessResearch potential contract vehicle opportunitiesProvide input to bid/no bid decisionsDevelop strategies to win potential opportunitiesDevelopment of teaming arrangements, when applicableProvide technical and management proposal input as required.Provide concise, understandable and efficient written and verbal reports and presentationsPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for this job.
