Overview The Director of Finance & HR reports directly to the Executive Director of Peter Paul with a dotted line to the Board of Directors. The position provides oversight and management of all Financial and HR matters, specifically as they pertain to the fiduciary, compliance, risk, and reputational requirements of Peter Paul. Primary Responsibilities Financial Management. Works with the ED and Board Finance Committee on long term financial planning and to plan, develop, and manage the PPDC budget. Performs monthly reconciliation of all cash accounts. Fully supports the audit process. Generates financial reports to the ED, Board of Directors, Board committees and funding sources. Manages all required local, state and federal filings. Develops Financial Policies & Procedures for the organization Human Resources Management. Responsible for the hiring process and licensing requirements. Manages the onboarding process. Develops and implements employee retention strategies and the performance management process. Monitors effectiveness and costs of insurance and benefits plans. Manages employee benefits. Manages staff and volunteer background checks. Develops HR Policies & Procedures Grants Management. Provides the financial and HR analysis required for grant proposals. Monitors compliance with grant requirements. Works with program and development staff to ensure that all grants are appropriately spent and zeroed out; reminds staff of pending grant expirations and remaining balances. Generates grant reports for ED and development team Qualifications . Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting with 3 years of experience required. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and analytics. Experience in leading and managing teams . Experience with federally funded grant programs preferred . Knowledge of and experience with cloud-based accounting software -experience with QuickBooks and Raiser's Edge accounting software is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft office products and advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with HR functions Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time, salaried position is expected to be available during normal business hours and reports to the Executive Director. Benefits available to the employee include medical, dental, paid vacation and 401k. Salary range is $65,000 - 80,000.
