Location: New Carrollton, MD, Memphis, TN, Martinsburg WV, Teleworking is an option. US Residency: Minimum of Three Years The position will provide the coordination of installation, monitoring, troubleshooting of hardware, applications and software used on Linux Tier 2 systems. Specific tasks may include: Planning and coordinating the installation of new products or equipment, installation of new or implementation of new Linux operating systems patches, upgrades, and releases. Installing hardware, applications and software; controlling current versions in use and future releases of application software, and documenting the physical configuration of the system. Optimizing the functionality of networks and systems using performance tuning tools and techniques. Diagnosing and recovering failed systems using systems diagnosis tools and fault identification techniques. Resolving installation problems, identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities and risks, and maintaining server integrity and availability. Initiating corrective or preventive actions, such as increasing disk or memory capacity to improve system performance. Requirements : Technical experience and some level of expertise candidates should possess include a full working knowledge and experience with Enterprise Red Hat Linux/Linux Version 6 or greater. Along with: Red Hat cluster and/or equivalent Linux Server Administration Operating Systems Business Objects/EBIP (BOE) vSphere WebSphere Web Methods JBoss Secure File Transfer Informatica Candidate should have exposure to UNIX/Solaris 10 operating system and BMC Control-M/Enterprise Manager (EM) (preferred, but not required). Candidate should have a functional understanding of how the system integrates and operates within the enterprise environment.
