The CGI federal office is in one of our delivery centers in Lebanon, VA, or Lafayette, LA, where you will join a growing, dedicated technology team building modern and flexible applications for the federal government. Limited telework opportunities are available. The Test Solution Architect will apply proven expertise to a major effort evolving CGI-owned software Intellectual Property to leverage modern technologies and techniques. All of CGI solutions are rooted in cloud-based architecture, multi-tenancy, and SaaS concepts. You will be working on the baseline development teams for COTS products like our enterprise asset provisioning and management system, our financial and acquisition management ERP, and/or our global call center/CRM platform. Our COTS products integrate numerous third party tools to provide rich analytics and SecDevOps automation. We are looking for an experienced test solution architect who enjoys working in a fast-paced collaborative environment and who is looking for a challenging opportunity to leverage modern technology and innovative solutions to make a significant impact on our product. Today, the team is actively defining roadmaps and solution designs, scoping initiatives and epics, evaluating new technologies, developing frameworks, and guiding/mentoring scrum teams in support of program priorities, with the intent to maximize our use of open source technology. We are committed to building a flexible automated test framework using open source products for use across our COTS products. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands into the architecture and code, mentoring junior automators and testers to help management build an award winning team. In this role you will: * Design, develop, and maintain a test framework based on leading open source products that will integrate with our SecDevOps pipeline * Build and deliver automation frameworks for unit, regression, performance, and UI testing to improve product quality and developer productivity * Work alongside product owners to evaluate quality and performance using an effective test reporting capability * Collaborate across teams to implement best practices for quality assurance approaches and their execution * Review and evaluate test scripts developed by automators to ensure they will cover the required scope and will deliver the required outcome * Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review * Evaluate and propose solutions to optimize our test infrastructure and advance our automated testing solutions * Ensure delivered products conform to highest quality standards * 5 to 7 years of experience as a senior test engineer or architect or similar role for large scale enterprise solutions * Deep understanding of software testing approaches (unit tests, integration tests, acceptance tests, negative testing) * Strong technical background with experience in open source automated test products, such as Selenium, Junit, TestNG, jmeter, and cucumber/gherkin * Excellent communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities * Experience with automated testing in a variety of cloud service provider stacks (AWS, Azure, VMWare, Google) and their service offerings * Experience with automated testing of enterprise systems developed using including ERP and microservices technical stacks * Experience with automated testing of containerized and non-containerized solutions Desired qualifications: * Experience with full stack development * Software development experience in Java and/or C++ * Experience with agile methodologies (specifically SAFe), modern source control repositories (Git, BitBucket), and DevOps toolset (Jenkins, Ansible, kubernetes, SonarQube) * Experience with automated Section 508 testing * Experience working with a remote team * Experience with Jira and/or the Atlassian Suite Due to the nature of the project, US Citizenship is required #CGIFEDERALJOBS Required qualifications to be successful in this role: * 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Principle Engineer (Lead Developer), or similar role for large scale enterprise solutions * Strong technical background with experience in driving the solution/designs * Excellent by Jobble
