This Sales Engineer role will support theFederal Sales Region in the Washington DC area. Ideal location is within driving distance of Washington DC. Experience engaging in the Federal environment is a critical prerequisite for this position.Do you have more to offer than the average sales engineer? Do you have an interest in cyber security and have a desire to work with cutting edge technologies/ You will be a key member of our sales team that demonstrates and enables customer to evaluate the Swimlane platform.The ideal candidate has a solid background in Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response (IR) processes and procedures, with a strong understanding of modern cyber security technologies and methodologies, including deploying and integrating such platforms, consulting on best-practices for SOC/IR functions, and developing and implementing automation and orchestration capabilities to streamline operations. And MUST know how to code in Python, as a critical requirement, with no flexibility on this requirement. Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy and configure the Swimlane platform during evaluationsProvide technical demos of the Swimlane platformDevelop and implement new SOC/IR playbooksDevelop new integrations leveraging Python during Proof of Value (POV) engagements with prospectsSupport customer success initiatives to drive renewalsAssist in Swimlane architecture design for non-standard deployments (ie, HA, DR, etc)Position Requirements5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering at a security vendor, SOC/IR experience, or a combination of the twoWorking knowledge of PythonWorking knowledge of RESTful APIsHands-on experience with the following types of technologies: SIEM, Next Gen Firewalls, Threat Intelligence Platforms, Malware SandboxingTeam player that works well in collaborative situations and start-up environmentsUniversity degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable verbally, in writing, and in network diagrams/illustrations.Swimlane is a leader in Security, Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR).
