Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Support Geospatial Information System (GIS) projects for Exelon Utilities IT specific to the Work & Asset Management organization- Interact with GIS personnel, Operations Technologies engineers and other support personnel.- Assist both IT and Business partners with planning the introduction of new technologies to accomplish goals by utilizing Exelon's standard governance process as outlined in the Management Model- Lead Geospatial Information System solution development activities (security, coding, deployments, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.) for Exelon Utilities Work & Asset Management strategic solutions- Collaborate and coordinate with peer organizations, project teams and vendors to design various interfaces with related systems.- Assist with planning and management of project scope, schedule, and budget to provide a quality deliverable on time and on budget.- Establish milestones, anticipate issues and monitor/control project scope and schedule.- Manage the fundamentals of project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis- Leads project teams through business case / funding approval process, initiation, execution and project closeout in accordance with IT Management Model and PMI standards.- Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues- Assist with effective stakeholder relationships by providing consistent communication and transparency through effective status reporting- Review impact and identify consequences of system changes, builds, and installations, to ensure that all service level agreements and operational compliance requirements are met- Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen Regular travel is expected (approx. 50-75%) to the various Utility geographies (eg Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Baltimore) Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: Regular travel is expected (approx. 50-75%) to the various Utility geographies (eg Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Baltimore) - Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Informational Systems or Computer Science or related discipline and 5 - 8 years project management or related experience- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) (PMP certification will fulfill this requirement)- Demonstrated and documented success at managing projects of medium to high complexity and size.- Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in a corporate setting- Strong organizational skills with the ability to see the big picture while prioritizing the work of multiple project teams- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss a project in the context of what is most important to the intended audience- Strong independent judgment and excellent analytical ability- Ability to work independently and as a team leader including the ability to handle conflicting priorities in a multi task environment- Ability to influence, enable, and challenge stakeholders towards commitment and execution of project deliverables- Ability to navigate through complex problem solving within a matrix organization- Ability to learn in a dynamic and fast paced environment.- Regular travel is expected (approx. 50-75%) to the various Utility geographies (eg Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Baltimore) Preferred: - Experience with multi-vendor, multi-partner solution implementations- Experience with platform and business process consolidation projects- Experience with various aspects of application consolidation/rationalization projects- Experience with leading cross Business Unit technology projects working with Business and Vendor resources- Experience in managing and reporting project budget, accruals, and resource forecasting- Understanding of security policies, procedures, NIST standards, and best practices- Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in the electric and gas industry operations, electric utility transmission and distribution systems such as SCADA, Distribution Automation, Outage Management, GIS, Mobile Dispatch, etc.- Master's degree in Project Management, Informational Systems or Computer Science (or advanced technical degree) or Business Administration- PMP certification Exelon is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and employees or applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to: age, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
