What you'll be doing: In this role, you are responsible for the coordination and execution of birth tissue acquisition to be used for transplant and/or research. . Meeting with patients prior to scheduled C-Sections to educate them on donating their birth tissue/placenta immediately following the birth . Screen for medical eligibility and administering patient informed consent for potential donors . Package, label, and transport and/or coordinate transport of tissue . Actively develop relationships with staff within assigned hospital(s) . Actively procure outstanding documentation and information required for donor chart completion . Adhere to company SOPs and state/federal regulations . Follow policies for hospital access such as those required for credentialing such as Vendormate (current vaccinations, certifications, etc.) What we are looking for: . Fluency in Spanish, written and oral required . Associate degree preferred . BSN, RN, LPN, Surgical Tech or Surgical Assist, Paramedic, Certified Tissue Bank Specialist preferred . 2+ years in tissue transplant/banking, related OR experience . Comfort in the OR setting .
