Our 223-bed hospital specializes in maternal/child health, surgical services on both an inpatient and extensive outpatient basis, urological services including lithotripsy, cancer care with state-of-the-art radiation therapy, rehabilitation therapy programs and a wide array of diagnostic imaging capabilities.The Clinical Coordinator as the assistant to the Department Director performs a dual role - clinical and administrative. He/she is responsible for identifying the need for, implementing and complying with all unit and hospital standards. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for clinical and administrative decisions on the unit during the absence of the Nursing Director.Same Day Recovery allows patients to go home the same day.This position will have a primary focus on Pre Anestheia Testing.We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company. We would love to talk to you about this fantastic opportunityQualificationsEducation:Associates Degree required, BSN preferredLicense/Certifications:Licensed or eligible licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (required)American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)ACLS certification (preferred)Experience:At least 2-3 years working in a Same Day/Recovery Department, previous charge experience preferredStrong knowledge base of all SDS (PAT, ORH, and Secondary Recovery)Critical Care experience is preferredhours and days a week will vary based on need of the department
