Key Concepts is seeking a Senior Network Engineer specializing in Cisco hardware to join our team supporting our government customer in Washington DC. In this role you will be helping to implement cutting edge datacenter and wireless network infrastructure. This is a customer service focused environment mandating high reliability and 24 x 7 up time. Qualifications: At least 8 years of Information Technology experience. CCNP or Higher Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills; Strong business writing ability; Flexible and adaptable attitude; Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines; Primary Responsibilities: Work as part of the team to design, configure and implement Datacenter Network based on Cisco Nexus platform Monitor, maintain and administer the health of the enterprise-wide network infrastructure Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot network devices (CiscoWorks, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, etc.) Recommend updates and changes for the existing core network switch configurations Develop and maintain accurate network documentation and network diagrams Review existing WAN and LAN designs Install and configure Cisco wireless controllers Required Skill/Experiences: Hands on experience with Cisco Nexus Family Switches (7K/5K/2K/1K), Cisco 3560s, 2950s, 4500s, ASR 1001x, firewalls, VPN and web management devices. Working knowledge of Cisco VPN, Firewall (ASA), and ISE devices Experience with Overlay Transport Virtualization over dark fiber (DWDM) Familiarity with VXLAN/EVPN, EIGRP,OSPF, iBGP, eBGP protocols Hands on experience with Cisco Wireless controllers and Access Points Nice to have at least 2 of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Design Professional CCDP Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and switching CCNP R&S Cisco Certified Network Professional Wireless CCNP W Cisco Certified Network Associate, CCNA wireless Cisco Certified Network Associate, CCNA R&S Cisco Secure Mobility Solutions (SIMOS) (300-209)
