As part of the Corporate Services team, the Audio Visual Technology Director will have accountability for leading the strategy and execution of Freddie Mac's AV program and large-scale AV projects at our Northern Virginia locations and regional offices. Your Work Falls into Four Primary Categories:

Strategy and Process Improvement
  • Review and refine the AV technology model to prepare for growth in services and make recommendations to align the team to deliver on evolving requirements
  • Understand AV and Digital experience industry trends and create business cases for best practices and implementation changes
  • Design future upgrades with simplicity of support and overall quality as the key measure of success
  • Lead the development and implementation of an AV Technology Services strategy
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
  • Create and deliver AV standards and policies, environment selection and AV technical solutions
  • Manage complex project plans, tracking progress among stakeholders and vendors
  • Understand AV and Digital experience industry trends and create business cases for best practices and implementation changes
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators for all projects and vendors

Team Management and Leadership

Project Management, Budget Management and Reporting
  • Manage key project activities such as business case development, justification, project scope, design and schedules
  • Access and manage business requirements, issues and risks, business process and rollout / communications
  • Responsible for vendor qualification, selection, and management of all services related to design and AV projects
  • Ensure projects are on time and on budget
  • Responsible for the timely resolution off all issues impacting project delivery, whether technical, business or AV integrator/vendor related
  • Deliver automation of metrics reporting and performance monitoring on AV projects and services
  • Maintain a clear and accurate view of status and keep management appropriately informed on regular basis
  • Effectively handle relationships with all vendors, ensuring the highest service quality and support at the best cost
  • Design and align AV solutions to operate seamlessly with Cloud based initiatives such as O365, IPTV and Digital Signage
  • Focus on lowering operating costs while maintaining quality of service and solutions

Relationship Management
  • Partner with customers and stakeholders; influence others and move toward a common vision and goals
  • Align AV solutions and recommendations to internal customer functional processes, business objectives and organizational requirements
  • Partner with IT and other key partners to resolve conflicts, manage expectations, handle contending priorities, collaborate on future solutions and provide completely aligned solutions


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 15 years of related experience including leading a team through an AV technology transformation and minimum of 8 years management experience
  • Experience leading or building a successful enterprise AV team Proficiency with trouble shooting complex audio, video and network control systems
  • Experience in project management as well as work plan development and implementation; astute in strategic planning, budgeting and allocation
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow, and familiarity with the ITIL framework CCNA, MCSE and CTS/CTS D Certifications
  • Factory training on major brands of A/V systems and components such as Biamp, NEC, Extron, AMX, Crestron, Planar, Polycom and Cisco
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IP networking technologies and infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Crestron, Biamp and/or Extron programming
  • Experience with Cisco collaboration and LAN based control and management of A/V
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Visio and Asset management systems
  • Experience instituting AV cloud collaboration solutions, specifically MS Teams
  • Proficiency developing scopes of work and evaluating vendor proposals

  • Experience with Polycom, Cisco TMS, Conductor and VCS, SX series codecs, Cisco Spark, CUCM, SIP, H.323, WebRTC and Shure
