Responsibilities

  • Independently performs audits/surveillance of contractor?s processes to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met.
  • Ensures contractor compliance with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, and modernization of a variety of items for contractor and customer activities throughout the world.
  • Incorporates a thorough and detailed QA knowledge in applying various methods and techniques for investigating, analyzing, and ensuring corrective action on complex quality problems.
  • Analyzes data at established intervals to assess the health of the contractor systems. Identifies areas, processes, and operations with adverse trends and analyzes available data to determine the existence of chronic problems.
  • Prepares team reports and briefing charts as required by the Team Leader, or by regulations from DCMA headquarters, or from other DoD agencies. Assures the timely and accurate submission of required reports to the team leader.

QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as: Utilization of acquisition quality assurance principles to design, plan, and implement an economical risk management program for critical mechanical or nuclear products. Verify production methods, processes, inspection systems and testing techniques to determine product conformance to contractual technical requirements. Experience with mechanical testing, calibration equipment, precision measuring devices, welding, nondestructive testing (NDT), hydraulics equipment, torque wrenches. Perform statistical and quality data analysis and evaluation to determine supplier compliance with contractual requirements.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
