The Welcome Center Screener is responsible for assisting with the screening/identification of students, at the Welcome Center and at schools, as well as assisting with the administration of other assessments administered by the Welcome Center.

Responsibilities
* Administer the VA state-approved EL eligibility assessment, to include online assessments, as well as other assessments administered by the Welcome Center
* Ensure testing regularities of assessment materials, equipment, and supplies to include: accounting for needed materials when conducting assessments, properly storing materials upon completion of assessments, and communicating needed supplies
* Assist with maintaining Welcome Center Screening room supplies and resources
* Remain abreast of Welcome Center and EL Department policies and practices to serve as a resource for Welcome Center Screeners
* Complete annual WIDA Screener trainings and attend Welcome Center Screener PLCs
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrate strong organizational skills
* Demonstrate knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
* Must be trustworthy and dependable

Additional Details

Salary: Band 10, $27.50 per hour
Hours: Assigned Hours are contingent upon need

This is a Non-Exempt position

A person in this position reports to: Supervisor, Welcome Center
