This is general clerical and secretarial work performed in a school. An employee in this class performs specific office operations requiring well-developed office skills. Assignments typically consist of one or more activities performing
attendance record keeping.

Responsibilities
The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to
the position. This is clerical and secretarial work performed part-time during the summer Each school will be allotted up
to 15 hours per week for four weeks. Experienced workers use independent judgment and training to take appropriate
actions to deal with standard recurring situations. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; other
work may be assigned when deemed appropriate:
* register new students and maintain student records.
* conduct registration appointments,
* follow up with families seeking enrollment,
* facilitate transfers and withdrawals,
* request student records/send student records to new schools,
* organize and assemble scholastic records and pack up rising 8th/9th grade files for transfer
* performs related work as required by the school administration.
Qualifications
Below are the qualifications for this position:
* High school diploma or GED required
* Knowledge of school main office operations, of modern office practices and procedures, and of standard office equipment including desktop PCs, standard office software, scanners, printers, photocopiers, and facsimile machines
* Ability to perform varied clerical and secretarial work accurately and quickly, to communicate effectively, to work cooperatively with others, and to work under pressure and/or frequent interruptions

Additional Details

Pay Scale: Band 5, $17.00 per hour

This position is Non - Exempt.
