Job Announcement

Performs a variety of billing and administrative duties in a fast -paced environment supporting the Fire Marshal's Office. Specific duties include review and prepare billing forms for accurate information. Ensures invoices are entered into the county's financial system accurately. Investigates and resolves possible discrepancies with billing forms received from other sections within the Fire Marshal's Office. Communicates with internal and external customers. Responsible for establishing new customer numbers. Prepares and initiates corrective documents in the county's financial system. Prepares and initiates refunds in the county's financial system. Prepares any financial reports as needed. Maintains files for audit purposes. Other duties as required. Functional area is financial support.

Note: The assigned functional areas of this position are general administrative support, finance, and customer service.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to high school graduation and two years of experience providing administrative support in the assigned functional area(s).

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
None.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient with data entry and Microsoft Outlook; proficient with corporate financial systems, preferably SAP software; strong customer service skills; proficient working with billing and invoices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for long periods of time as job is generally sedentary in nature. Ability to see data on a computer screen and operate a computer keyboard. All duties are performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
