Application Dev Analyst/Big Data Engineer (Reston, VA) sought by Fannie Mae. Lead/play lead techn'l role in Big Data Engg team's efforts to solve large scale challenges. Participate in/review all steps in s/ware dev't life cycle to create & modify s/ware. Participate w/ team of tech staff & bus. mgrs or practitioners in bus. unit to determine systems reqs & functionalities needed in large/complex dev't project. Assess & dvlp high level dsgn reqs for project & communicate in writing or in meetings w/ dev't team. Assess detailed specs against dsgn reqs. Review coding. Analyze app for data integrity issues. Dvlp test protocols or plan for testing revised app & review results. Reqd: Bachelor's in comp sci or engg +5 yrs progressive exp processing large amounts of structured & unstructured data using Java app dev't, MapReduce, Hadoop Components (ie HDFS, HBase, Hive, Sqoop, Kafka, Storm etc.), & RESTful Web Srvcs.
