Responsibilities: Inventory Management (40%) - Creates and implements an inventory counting system to verify quantity, quality, and accuracy of food service orders placed by the BSU contracted dining vendor; coordinates food delivery to confirm that delivered goods match order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc.; and provides reports to supervisor as requested; develops cost control procedures to prevent fiscal and inventory loss through excess ordering, contamination, and expiration; oversees and evaluates stock procedures; maintains and evaluates inventory records on a monthly basis; notify supervisor immediately of product inaccuracies or concerns with inventory.  Invoicing (40%) - Collects all client catering invoices prepared by the BSU contracted dining vendor; invoices clients within the appropriate time period based on group designation (internal/external); manages the collection of funds for outstanding catering invoices for internal and external clients; ensures BSU contracting dining vendor does not render service to clients with invoices more than 30 days old; resolve billing errors promptly; deposit funds receipted within 1 business day.  Administrative Support (20%) - Coordinates meal options during closing periods and special events; supports dining services operations by ensuring quality control; supports day of University sponsored ticketed events including but not limited to: home football games, homecoming events, Fine and Performing Arts Center events and basketball games; maintains confidentiality of information for the sole purpose of performing job duties; develops procedural documents to support job duties and continuity of operations; ensures fiscal and administrative compliance with departmental, university, and USM regulations, policies and procedures; maintains proper records of system transactions and correspondence; provides superior customer service to students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors by assisting with inquiries received to Auxiliary Services; research and recommend best practices related to dining inventory and invoicing operations to enhance operations and service delivery; serves as essential personnel supporting University operations during holidays, emergencies and weather-related closures as requested; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. Concentration in Hospitality or Finance preferred. Minimum three (3) years experience in the food service/hospitality industry to include experience in invoicing/finance. Experience with inventory management. Experience working in a university setting, specifically dining services (preferred). Handling of multiple methods of payment to include cash, credit, check, and online transactions utilizing robust software (preferred).  Possess working knowledge of computer systems including PCs, laptops, POS (point of sale) terminals, and tablets; demonstrate ability to effectively operate computer software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Suite and Catertrax; - Excellent math and accounting skills; Demonstrate ability to work in a face-paced environment, supporting multiple priorities all while meeting deadlines; Possess strong attention to detail with strong organizational skills including the ability to identify errors, resolving proactively and promptly; Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures; Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, recommending implementation of new strategies and procedures; Exhibit excellent customer skills and the ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written formats to a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; Ability to contribute to a cooperative work environment.

Condition of Employment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Salary Range:  $55,000 - $60,000                        RANGE:  II
