Job Details

Our 300+ member companies produce more than 90 percent of the residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, water heating, and commercial refrigeration equipment made in North America. Through our certification program, standards, advocacy, and other activities, we strive to help save energy, improve productivity, and ensure a better environment.
AHRI has a vacancy in our Heating Sector for a Program Engineer. The Engineer's primary responsibility is the management of assigned HVAC/R industry working groups and associated certification programs. Duties include conducting Compliance Committee and Working Group meetings, managing certification programs, communicating with member companies and manufacturers of HVAC/R products, and developing AHRI Standards.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from a nationally accredited four-year college or university in engineering (emphasis on Mechanical Engineering preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of one year of related work experience in the HVAC/R industry; experience giving presentations in a business setting and managing projects and/or work groups.
Computer Skills:
Familiarity with and ability to use MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) and MS Outlook email at an intermediate level.
Certificates & Licenses:
LEED, PE, or EIT desired but not required.
