Job Details
AEI is seeking a self-starting team player for a busy media relations and marketing department. The media relations and marketing coordinator will work directly with the director of media operations to promote AEI scholars and their work. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the scheduling and operations of AEI's broadcast facilities (TV and radio), serving as the primary media liaison for conferences and special events, maintaining a database of media contacts and email distribution lists, supervising the department's interns, assisting with administrative tasks, and fielding interview requests from the press as needed.
This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills. Qualified candidates will have a keen interest in policy and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a frequently busy and demanding environment. A bachelor's degree is required.
