Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) is a multimedia, service-focused communications and marketing operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, marketing, support and execution for AARP's strategic business units.
Summary

Assist the Social Strategists in the day-to-day liaising between AARP Social and the internal business unit. They will be responsible for all project management: managing the forward movement of campaigns as well as assisting the Social Strategist in ensuring that the objectives set for the project are met.

This position will have extensive experience researching and identifying topics, data, and trends to inform the creation of social-first content. They will be responsible for synthesizing disparate sources of information to inform creative or strategic briefs that will ultimately be translated into content opportunities aimed at driving brand lift and affinity across AARP's core issue areas. The ideal candidate will need to know why and when certain content and strategies are appropriate for social and when they aren't.

The right candidate will be extremely detail oriented, but have an ability to see the bigger picture. They will have an ability to develop solid business relationships and manage many moving parts with ease.

In a team, this position will work collaboratively with a Social Strategist, the Social Analytics Advisor and AARP Social's agency partner to ensure the efficient delivery of integrated social content for various business units.
Responsibilities

The position's chief responsibilities include:
  • Provide efficient and effective administrative and project management support to the Analytics Advisor and Paid Media Advisor in the day-to-day operations of assigned projects
  • Ensure timely delivery of social media insights across the social team
  • Conduct insightful research to inform the creation of social content
  • Support social media team with research on new concepts/ideas, best practices and the latest trends that drive key social media metrics and results
  • Coordinate with others and maintain healthy relationships both internally and externally, especially as it relates to data/insights or other projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field is preferred
  • Mininum of 2+ years of related experience required, preferably at a digital / social marketing agency or large, complex organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Proficiency in project management software and internal collaboration tools such as Basecamp, Asana, and Slack
  • Proficiency in social media analytics
  • Knowledge of paid media for social media platforms
  • Solid communication skills
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy - strong attention to detail (e.g. fact checking, proper attribution)
  • Ability to create, build and maintain strong relationships
  • Understanding/passion for digital media, technology and social platforms
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent ability to multi-task
