CPB is currently seeking to hire a Public Media Education Coordinator (Level 5). Salary $42,500 - $57,800. The position reports to the Director of Education.

General Description:
This role supports the grant projects, initiatives and events of the CPB Education department, including coordination of information flow and management, execution of meetings and events, development of presentations and materials, tracking approvals, logistics liaison with external vendors and public media station personnel and other CPB colleagues. This position also manages limited contracts related to projects and events, as needed, and assists department Project Officers with grant management tasks and the CPB Grants Management System. The Coordinator manages planning calendars, drafts and edits weekly reports and memos, maintains accurate and up to date backgrounders and messaging, and other internal and external communications and reports, and maintains a project tracking system and an electronic filing system.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Support team’s role at industry meetings, special events, public media station consultations and other meetings, including travel and meeting logistics, financial tracking including invoice payment and expense reimbursement for meeting attendees.
• Develop talking points, memos, reports, presentations, graphics and written communications reflecting department projects and priorities for key stakeholder groups.
• Write and publish a company-wide weekly Education report and other special reports on departmental activities as requested.
• Work with Project Officers to maintain project planning calendars, coordinate cross-departmental team meetings and create support materials for various initiatives.
• Create, update and enforce timelines and task lists for meeting deadlines on events and relevant projects.
• Set up and maintain team electronic shared and hard copy files, as well as physical files as needed.
• Provide departmental meeting and event support (e.g. travel, meeting scheduling, expense reports) as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in, public policy, education, media/communications, business, or a related field, or combination of equivalent coursework and experience.
• A minimum of three years related work experience, preferably in a position requiring skills in communications, meeting/event logistics, digital media, project management, and/or administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to generate original presentations, correspondence and reports.
• Excellent project logistic and planning skills with close attention to details and timelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, graphics software, and database programs; strong web-based research skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and foster relationships through a professional presence and interact competently and courteously with a variety of people both internal and external to CPB.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and issues of varying complexity, while managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with the public media system, its services and products.
• Experience with non-profit organizations.
• Knowledge of the media and education fields and developing technologies.
