Supervising Social Worker -Treatment Foster CareA Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LSCW-C)in the State of Maryland is needed to provide support and consultation to licensed case managers in our treatment foster care department. The program utilizes trauma informed practice to treat difficult to place foster children with high intensity needs, with the goal of increasing stability, safety, and well-being for the child. The licensed social worker will oversee the day to day coordination and implementation of the child placement agency standards, regulations and Arrow policies and procedures. The SSW will supervise clinical, case management and therapeutic interventions with the child, foster family and biological family. The SSW will provide weekly supervision and insure that all appropriate case records and documentation are maintained in accordance with state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and COA standards. Provide on-going clinical education to supervisees, including leading clinical team meetings. Conduct annual and probationary performance evaluations on staff.Additionally, the SSW manages staffing activities, including but not limited to, hiring, training, grievance resolution, disciplinary action and termination under the direction of Program Director. Provides administrative and clinical back-up in the event of emergencies and participates in the administrative on call rotation.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Licensure and/or Experience:Master's Degree in Social Work with advance licensure (LCSW-C).At least three (3) years of experience working with children in the child welfare industry and 1-2 years of supervisory experience.Must be a registered Social work supervisor with the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the ministry.Ability to prepare written case documentation that becomes part of the clients' legal record.Ability to apply Critical thinking and sound decision making skills to standardized and variable situations, in alignment with set policies and practices. Other Requirements:Valid driver's licenseProof of current Auto Registration, Inspection and InsuranceDriving Record (three years) from the state in which the driver's license is validMust submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment. Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.Must be 21 years of age or older.
