The Network Engineer will be a mid-level engineer interested in working in a challenging, hands on environment supporting the Department of Defense and other specialized customers.The Network Engineer will assist and engage in the design, development, testing and evaluation of network communication technologies products and solutions in support of the WIN-T Modular Communications Node - Advanced Enclave (MCN-AE), Commercial Coalition Equipment and Network Management Systems. The position entails developing and testing solutions in a new network stack that enables the Army's operations, intelligence, logistics and medical communities to pass information across the battlefield using the WIN-T systems. QualificationsThe selected candidate must have a Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or Computer Engineering and two (2) years' of related experience. A CompTIA Security+ Certification is required.The selected candidate must also have: Experience installing, configuring and testing various network devices An understanding of networks and their operation Experience with network management technologies, systems and techniques The ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team Experience working in a DoD environment CCNA or plans to get CCNA certification Experience with managing and configuring Juniper and Cisco Routers and Firewalls is a plus.
