Id: EB-8075451085 Location: Chantilly, VA Job Type: FullTimeRegular Job Summary: Contract (Temporary) position which will be responsible for financial planning and reporting, from the program-level to the financial statements.. Responsibilities for Contract Position: * Direct staff in areas to include financial planning, program financial control, and billing. * Prepare annual profit and loss ("P&L") budgets, indirect cost budgets, quarterly P&L forecasts and periodic indirect cost forecasts. * Perform monthly reporting of actual versus budgeted performance of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow and supporting variance analysis (including program-level drivers). * Ensure appropriate revenue recognition for various contract types, including profit accrual. * Prepare quarterly bank covenant computations and reporting. * Prepare monthly financial data for presentation to the board of directors and to senior management. * Prepare monthly indirect cost reports and variance to budget analysis for department heads and senior management. Conduct monthly department reviews and quarterly executive reviews of same. * Perform other duties as assigned.. Experience, Qualifications and Education: * Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or business administration; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree (preferred). * 10 years' experience in progressively more senior positions in finance and accounting within the government contracting services industry (required). * Exceptional knowledge, experience and skills with Deltek CostPoint and data query tools (ie Cognos). * Previous experience with reporting to private equity firms (preferred). * Exceptional Excel skills, highly skilled using Microsoft PowerPoint and to a lesser extent, Word. * Extensive experience in financial reporting and variance analysis and the development of complex Excel models. * Experience in indirect cost forecasting, working knowledge of cost pools, service centers, wrap rates, and the general architecture of indirect cost recovery in defense contracting. * Experience with sophisticated business intelligence tools (ie, Hyperion).
